Starting Monday April 19th, Carolina native DJ Carolina X will make his move to 5pm weekdays as he takes over the #BlockPartyMixshow on Radio One's 92.7 The Block. He now joins On-Air Personality Cam Cooper in the afternoons as Cam makes his debut with The Misadventures of Cam Cooper show from 2pm - 7pm.
Carolina X started with Radio One back in November of 2019 as he was hired on as an On-Air Mixer for Charlotte's mainstream urban station. The New Carolina DJ transitioned from djaying on middays to obtaining his own mix show called the Main Event Mixshow weeknights at 7pm. Carolina X will be spinning your favorite Hip-Hop & RnB hits, timeless throwbacks, and showcasing aspiring Carolina artist on the rise.
"Bringing on Dj Carolina X was a no brainer. I heard him mix on air South Carolina on air and liked what I heard. I also loved how he marketed his brand which is what a lot of Djs miss the mark on," said Jeff "Uzi D" Anderson, Operations Manager, Radio One Charlotte. "So when I got the opportunity to bring on another Dj to the Block I asked a few people who they thought would be a great fit and DJ TO brought up Dj Carolina X and it just clicked - yeah I remember hearing him! So as they say the rest is history!"
